Cellofest 2010

St. Louis native and Youth Orchestra alumna Sara Sant'Ambrogio will be the featured soloist with an accompanying orchestra of the 12 cellists from the 2009-10 St. Louis Symphony Youth Orchestra. Other pieces on the program will include Villa-Lobos Bachianas Brasileiras No. 1, Fitzenhagen's Ave Maria, and Youth Orchestra alum Peter Myers' arrangement of "It's a-me, it's a-Mario." The final piece will be Hymnus by Klengel, and we'll invite any Youth Orchestra cello alums who are interested to play along with the 12 cellos from this year's YO.This year's YO cellos are James Perretta, Stephanie Dye, Richard Mazuski, Naomi Benecasa, Henry Myers, Daniel Kopp, Amy Hourcade, Katja Miller, Sean Hamre, David Gu, Graham Boswell, and Ben Park.
